In this situation the mold growth was discovered upon opening the wall cavity.  Absorbent or porous materials, such as drywall, ceiling tiles and carpet may have to be removed and thrown away if they become moldy. Wearing personal protective equipment our team safely removed affected drywall and decontaminated the space properly while checking to make sure moisture levels had returned to normal.
