It sure has been a hot summer in Lynnwood, WA with record highs throughout the Pacific Northwest! Our team has some great tips to help keep your house cool: 

• Keep interior doors closed to help concentrate cool air in your living space.

• Use light blocking window coverings on windows that get morning and later afternoon sun. Even blankets and sheets will help.

• Keep lights turned off when you're not in the room. This helps keep the room cooler and reduces stress on the power grid.

• Use battery operated fans if possible.

• Avoid cooking indoors with sources of heat. 

• Seal up any drafts around windows and doors.

• Keep windows closed during the day.

• Only open windows in the evening when it cools and to create a cross breeze.
