Avoid Overheating In Record Heatwave Temperatures

The Pacific Northwest has been issued an excessive heat warning due to record breaking temperatures. According to the National weather service Seattle, WA broke a record for the highest temperature ever recoded in the area at 108 degrees. To keep yourself cool following this list of tips: 

• Drink plenty of water. Have extra bottled water and a cooler of ice on hand in case of emergency. 

• Take cool showers or baths

• Place a cold compress on the back of your neck.

• Wear light colored, loose fitting clothing.

• Mist your face with cool water.

• Take a day trip or just drive around for a while with the air conditioning on or cool off at a local business/community center with air conditioning.
